Location / How to get get there.

Check out your street directory for Clovelly. Follow Clovelly Rd all the way down the hill and turn left and park next to the surf club.

Local creatures.Local creatures.

There are many creatures to see here, form nudibranchs, fortesques, catfish and blue ringed octopus.
Many are only visible at night.

Amenities.

Toilet blocks are very close by.
Head up into Clovelly proper for a variety of shops.

Experience Level.

Beginners to advanced.

Best time to dive.

Any time is great to dive here (apart from excluded hours October through April)
The pool is unaffected by tides (apart from shallower entries)
Avoid diving in large seas as the exit can be tricky.

Where to enter/exit.

You are not allowed to dive here during daylight from October 1st through to April 25th.
Night dive are allowed.
Enter via the steel stairs which line the edge of the pool.


Navigation.

The eastern most end of this pool is a large sandy bowl, bordered by rocks and a sea wall as a barrier to the ocean.
The deepest point is only 6m.


Points of interest.

Definitley the interface of the sand and rocky platform surrounding the sandy bowl.


Tips (from the pro)

This is best done as a night dive and is usually the beginners first dive at night as it is so easy and shallow.
