Our company was established in 1988 to cater for the ever growing demand by divers in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.

Originally located in Kingsford as a NAUI facility, we moved to Maroubra in 1993 and switched to SSI (Scuba Schools International).

In 2002 the company moved to Matraville where it is currently located.

Over the years, we have grown to become the very active club we know today.

Our instructional staff have trained thousands of divers, with many going on to a career as professionals in the diving industry.

With worldwide contacts and connections, we have assisted many of our divers and instructors moving to locations throughout Australia and around the world.

The name "Sydney Dive Academy" is linked with high quality training, a commitment to personal service and a place where anyone is welcome to come in and have a chat.

The key strength of SDA is its people. Our staff are experts in diving tuition and possess detailed local knowledge and people skills.
