Magic Point can be dived in most conditions.
Swell can be a problem here and a big N.E. wind or South Easterly wind can make things tricky.
It has a fair amount of protection form the southerly winds.

Where to enter/exit.

The boat usually moors near a large flat, green coloured rock on the shore.
The dive begins and ends here. At this point you will be only 30m from shore.

Navigation.

The boat will usually place you in around 7m of water. From here, you will swim nrth and over a prominent wall which drops to 14m.
The shark cave is at the base of this wall.
From here, head due east, following the reef and you will be entertained by the variety of marine life and the underwater landforms.

Points of interest.

The sharks and cave, the extensive reef system east and west of the caves.

Tips (from the pro)

Watch the swell as you re-enter the boat.
Avoid harrassing the sharks. Flash photography is not allowed and do not enter the shark cave itself.
Do not touch the sharks and allow them plenty of room to manouvre.
Don't be disappointed if you don't see any sharks as the rest of this site is well worth seeing as well. Night diving is not allowed here.
